Miracle Waters

Miracle Waters is getaway in clean spring water, with a view of the beautiful Magaliesberg mountain range – less than an hour’s drive from both Johannesburg and Pretoria!

The large clear diving lake is an old open cast chrome mine surrounded by natural bush and farmlands. The water is naturally replenished by an underwater spring.
There are plenty of different entry points, but each entry point is via paved paths for an easy plunge into the water which can be quite warm in the summer or cool and refreshing in the winter.

Sporting five training platforms and a multitude of wrecks scattered throughout the lake, it is the perfect place for beginners, Recreational dives of all levels, Freedivers and even Tec divers. All training from One Star/Open Water Diver to Instructor Training can be done and practiced here.

The depth of the lake is 33m and the viz is fair (but has its day’s of being 10m or even more!!). All divers can relax, as there are no major hazards or extreme depths. Numerous Black Bass, various species of Kurper are found in the shallows and even a fresh water shark can be found here!! While a bus, airplane, yacht, and various other items (even a computer station!!) have also been introduced. Both the bus and airplane can safely be entered by appropriately trained divers (Wreck Divers).
